The LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron

Since the 16th of November, special pieces are displayed at the very special exhibitions at the Zeithaus of the autostadt in Wolfsburg. Visitors will be able to see a full scale Lego Technics Bugatti Chiron, next to a real Bugatti Chiron. The cars were already shown at the Mondial Auto 2018 :

Lego and Bugatti built this partnership in order to reflect on their respective levels of precision and know-how. Being so similar in their attention given to their products, the association of the two brands appeared natural to create this 1:1 model. Not only does the vehicles look the same but they can both be driven. However the Lego car cannot compete concerning the maximum speed : 420 km/h for the Bugatti Chiron when it can only go at 20km/h.

Nevertheless the model built by the Danish company required over 1 million pieces for a total weight of 1500 kg. Only the tires and the rims are from a real Bugatti Chiron. And the Danish firm is very proud to say that absolutely no glue has been used to create the model. In total, 13000 hours have been necessary to create this one-of-a-kind vehicle.

Originally the partnership was announced for the launch of the Bugatti Chiron Technic at the 1:18 scale in the toys store (380€). The Lego company has always encouraged, particularly through its Lego Technics, ambition and creativity at all ages, a characteristic shared with Bugatti. The uniqueness of the model built by the engineers also reflects the luxurious aspect of the Bugatti brand, which makes people of all ages dream.
